      Verdict

      San Andreas won this last year, one of four victories on the track, and has been narrowly beaten in his last four starts here. Runner-up to Real Appeal in January, he had stablemate ANTHEM NATIONAL just behind with Angels Wrath a close fourth. Anthem National scored at Newcastle for the Crisford's a year ago before placed in Listed company at Lingfield. He was having his first start for his new handler behind Real Appeal and is taken to come out best of that trio. He may also just have a fitness advantage over Current Option. A seven-times winner on Turf and placed at Group 3 level at Tipperary in October, he's only had three all-weather runs and has a four-month absence to overcome.
