In depth

Verdict

Set To Fire twice finished a close second over this trip last summer before finding a mile taxing her stamina, including on this track. She should be thereabouts but RUBY GATES should be good enough to lose her maiden tag. She showed the benefit of her opening run here in January with a better effort over a mile a month later where she couldn't quite peg back Va Pensiero. That looked a slightly better race than this and compensation awaits. Midnitemudcrabs showed ability for Marco Botti and is with the right team to get the best out of her, though probably in handicaps. Tommy Stack's newcomer Keytotheoperation is related to a host of winners though it's disconcerting to see him starting in blinkers.
