SWEET AFFECTION scored over slightly further than this at Leopardstown in August and only just failed to make all over this track and trip a week ago, succumbing in the closing stages to Fryerns, who was receiving 11lb. Irish Poseidon, a dual winner in Germany. made an excellent start for new connections at the same fixture, staying on strongly over the extended 1m2f and certain to be suited by the extra. Caridadi is in the veteran stage now but it hasn't prevented him scoring over hurdles in the summer and here last month for which a 3lb rise isn't excessive. Maricruz wasn't far behind in the latter event and Colin Keane's takes the ride again while Franno is very consistent but has been beaten off lower marks the last four times.
