Verdict

KING ELECTRIC was unfortunate to come up against a potentially useful juvenile when runner-up to Peace Envoy here last week. He'll be a short price to go one better and should do so. Joyce Compton made a nice start here a fortnight ago behind Tilly Trotter and looks a threat while there are a couple of nicely-bred newcomers engaged. Ready To Roc is bred to be a miler but should have enough pace for this while Duck Egg Blue is a half-sister to a winning juvenile over this trip in France. Pat Smullen's presence on board Mick The Poser, a half-brother to six winners, suggests he's the more forward of his stable's two runners.
