In depth

Verdict

Ashton Rose was brought with a well timed challenge by Ronan Whelan to beat Grainne Whale over the C&D last month and the runner-up could give the form a boost in the first division. KNOCKGRAFFON LAD, who was beaten around 3l in third that day, is a massive 14lb better off, however, and has since run well over a longer trip. He can take advantage of a fair mark and gets the vote. The veteran Oversighted has won here from higher marks and probably needed his latest run after a break. Daisy Mountain, who was unplaced in this a year ago from a 5lb higher mark, would be a huge threat if able to repeat last month's cracking effort over the C&D behind Jeangeorges but she's never been the most consistent of performers.
