There must have been something amiss with Elusive Ice, who hasn't been seen since a very promising debut on this track a year ago. She would be an obvious contender if fit enough after her break. MIANYA RETURN could hardly have done any better on her debut where she started 33/1. She couldn't quite contain Salvado but was staying on strongly at the finish and, with further progress guaranteed, she looks the one to beat. Kimbay has shown enough pace in her three starts to date over 7f to suggest she doesn't lack the speed for this but Cottrell has been found wanting. Winter Lion, a son of Galileo, has a superb pedigree and though he should be better suited to middle-distances a market check is advised.
