In depth

Verdict

Dee Sprinter and MAGGIE THUNDER fought out a driving finish over the track and trip last week with the former just prevailing. However, Danny Sheehy's claim hands the initiative to the runner-up today and she can get back to winning ways. Bellick has won three times here and is back over the minimum after showing very good pace over 6f a week ago while the three-year-old Woodrow also drops down after four starts over an extra furlong. Countess Matilda is 0-13 but ran her best race to date over 6f on testing ground at Fairyhouse where she led at this trip.
