Verdict

Lowther Stakes and Cheveley Park winner HOORAY led the field for much of the way in the 1000 Guineas before fading into mid-division. Her trainer had voiced his concerns over her fitness before the race and she should be spot-on here with the shorter trip also likely to be more suited to her style. Her overall form is far superior to that of her rivals and hopefully she can prove that she's trained on and take this. Utley has performed with credit in Listed company over the C&D this season and could still have some improvement in him while Chilworth Lad has run well at this level and did well to land a very competitive Salisbury handicap last time. The remaining trio must all show significant improvement on what they have shown so far to take a hand.
