    Verdict

Veiled Applause looks a danger having slipped down the weights and finished second at Doncaster last time. Super Duplex remains 5lb higher than last year's C&D win and Qeethaara has struggled since landing a double in June. Eastern Gift has dropped back down to a winning mark but STARWATCH landed his hat-trick at Windsor last time and, though he was only a narrow margin winner, an apprentice's claim halves today's penalty. John Bridger's charge may not have stopped improving yet and gets the vote.
