Indy Driver finally opened his account when landing a Lingfield handicap last month but an 8lb rise for that success looks harsh and James Fanshawe's gelding may struggle to follow up in a race taken to go to RAAEIDD, who gets the verdict ahead of Luck Will Come. Hugh Collingridge's mare deserves to get her head in front having found one too good in each of her last two starts, latterly behind Candy Ride at Sandown, and she has every chance off just a 2lb higher mark today. Gay Kelleway's Eastern Gift has been showing similarly consistent form having been second in each of his last three starts and should again be thereabouts, although he has been raised another 2lbs for his most recent start. Simon Dow's Northern Spy could probably do with some help from the handicapper and of more interest may be Golden Button. Sir Mark Prescott's filly has only had two starts so far and makes her handicap debut off what seems a fair mark following her recent success at Wolverhampton. She has to be respected but preference is for the Michael Jarvis-trained Raaeidd, who can race off the same mark as when finding Credit Swap just a length too good at Newmarket last month.
