Verdict

Jeremy Scott has his string firing on all cylinders and there may well be more to come from GUNNA BE A DEVIL this term. Given his pedigree, the seven-year-old will probably be going chasing sooner rather than later but has shown promise over hurdles and a reproduction of his third off this mark at Bangor in February would see him go close here. Pocketwood doesn't stand much racing nowadays but won over a slightly shorter trip here on his reappearance last season and has to go on the short-list, while Thedeboftheyear came right back to his best when third to subsequent Royal Ascot winner Veiled at Warwick in March. Saint Peray weakened quickly at Cheltenham last month, however, while it remains to be seen if High Carol can build on his fourth at Worcester. Minella Bliss and Ravastree may be the pick of the remainder.
