Verdict

STERNRUBIN is still inclined to race freely but will be a short price to open his account in this having twice run well behind the progressive Lil Rockerfeller in handicaps at Ascot and Sandown. Pengo's Boy was third on his hurdling debut at Newton Abbot but may already need a step up in distance, though still makes more appeal than bumper winner Uncle Muf, who showed nothing on the Flat last year. Almaas can improve on his fourth at Huntingdon while Angus Glens is fit from a campaign on the all-weather and looks the pick of the remainder.
