Verdict

SWINCOMBE FLAME won a Listed Sandown bumper on only her second start and looks a nice prospect. Getting weight from previous winners Dream Function and Golden Gael, Nick Williams' mare could be the one to beat on her introduction to hurdles. Kentford Grey Lady, Maggie Aron, Queen's Bay and Who's Afraid are other bumper winners facing the start with the first-named arguably the most interesting after a decent effort over timber at Worcester, though she was well behind the selection in that Sandown race. Clyffe Top was third at Taunton in March but that form is unlikely to be good enough here.
