Verdict

Gallant Approach gets the vote here with Gunther McBride and Rosemauve rating the main dangers. The selection has won his last two races in good style, notably when beating He's The Guv'nor last time out. He enters handicaps on a fair mark and under conditions to suit he is taken to defy the handicapper. Gunther McBride rates the main danger as he is very well weighted on his best form but he looks to be regressing and looks vulnerable to a less exposed type. Rosemauve is another worthy of respect on his latest second in a hurdle race behind Golden Bay. He is sure to strip fitter here and with his yard back amongst the winners he could go well at a price. World Wide Web has the ability to go close off this type of mark but he does not like to use it while Dead Eyed Dick took a heavy fall last time out and it is hard to know if his confidence will have been affected so he cannot be put forward with any confidence and for the winner we return to the progressive Gallant Approach.
