Verdict

Winning point-to-pointer CORNISH ICE has been consistent over regulation fences and though still looking a few pounds high looks the one to be on in this moderate event. Roseneath has been disappointing on his subsequent starts since scoring on quick ground at Worcester in July and is unlikely to appreciate today's conditions. Tuskar Rock's last victory was in 2012 and he's been outclassed in his four subsequent races. This is a drop in grade but he's been running poorly. Barton Gift continues to attract strong support in his races without looking likely to justify it though first-time blinkers could do the trick.
