In depth

Verdict

This looks to be a penalty kick for Sud Bleu, who will appreciate the drop in grade having faced some stiff tasks so far over hurdles. Royal China, who shaped quite nicely in a bumper at Hereford, should have learnt from the experience and may be the one to chase the selection home, while former useful flat handicapper Baileys Prize is an interesting recruit to the hurdling ranks, although he could well need this after a lay off.
