In depth

Verdict

Funny Star hasn't really sparkled since arriving in this country but may do better over fences. This looks much too sharp for Annacotty, though he was sent off favourite for a decent handicap at Chepstow on his reappearance so had obviously been showing something at home. Red Riverman won at Ffos Las before finishing second at Huntingdon but that form may not be good enough to win this. THE ITALIAN YOB didn't get home over 2m4f in a Listed handicap over hurdles at Sandown in March but at least finished the course, unlike Barrakilla who was pulled up. This is more his trip and, as he looks a real chasing type, is given the chance to open his account over the larger obstacles today as Flaming Charmer could be aiming a little too high in this grade.
