In depth

Verdict

A tough finish for punters. THE GUNNER MURPHY was returning from over a year off when runner-up at Down Royal and that will have put him straight for this. Lord Lariat was in excellent form last summer winning three times and won't be too inconvenienced by a long break while Valdieu was having his first start since October when a very good fourth behind Mitchouka at Leopardstown last month. Dorking Cock had some strong form in the UK last winter and caught the eye with a very good run at Down Royal last month while Uisce Beatha is entitled to respect with Simon Torrens on board.
