Ted Hastings, one of three from Gordon Elliott's yard, completed a four-timer, including a victory on the Flat, in the US Champion Hurdle at Far Hills in October. He makes his handicap debut from what looks a lenient mark though wouldn't want any more rain. TOPHILL LOW had shown potential in maidens before winning one in good style at Thurles. She's on the upgrade and may be good enough though the King Of Prs looked one to follow when landing a Punchestown handicap in January then fell early at Leopardstown. Kilbree Warrior won a maiden over a longer trip very easily here in December while a couple of late mistakes put paid to the chances of the well-supported Innatendue at Naas.
