In depth

Verdict

Mind's Eye did well in bumpers and made a solid start over timber in a huge field at Punchestown. He'll continue to improve but faces a potentially top-notch novice here in BLOW BY BLOW. Gordon Elliott's charge was last seen winning the championship bumper at the Punchestown Festival in 2016 but will be ready for this and is sure to take the world of beating. He was initially trained by Willie Mullins, who now has charge of Quick Grabim, a bumper winner at Leopardstown for Robbie McNamara and he's one to keep an eye on. The remainder will need to be smart to have any realistic chance against the principals.
