Verdict

Willie Mullins suffered a setback when Un De Sceaux fell at Thurles but the yard is still in invincible form and ADRIANA DES MOTTES could prove another star for the yard. The winner of a sub-standard Grade 1 over hurdles here in April, she is still only a four-year-old and gets all the allowances available and her jumping was immaculate over timber. Thunder And Roses will prove a tough opponent as his second to Apache Stronghold on his chasing bow at Down Royal was a fine effort and he was also useful over hurdles, as was Grade 2 winner Busty Brown who will have learnt from his debut over fences at Roscommon where he made some novicey errors. Once And Always fell at the first on his chasing debut and unseated his rider at the last when in the lead at Cork a fortnight ago so he can do better while Noble Emperor, an easy debut winner in a Navan bumper before a very impressive maiden hurdle victory at Limerick the following month, is another to consider. Rule The World is a high-class Grade 2 winning hurdler with a point-to-point victory under his belt so he could prove another threat in an intriguing contest.
