Verdict

Gordon Elliott saddles three of the six runners including top weight DUCA DE THAIX, who won this easily a year ago then completed a brilliant track double in the Grade A Dan Moore Memorial Handicap in January. He's been running in better company as has Doctor Phoenix, though he's finished a long way last in both starts this autumn. Avenir D'une Vie completes the stable trio though he's only just moved from Henry De Bromhead and has been hurdling. The latter yard saddle Mind's Eye, who disappointed for much of last season after scoring at Wexford and was only just over a length in front of Kildorrery when they occupied the places at Limerick last month and there's nothing between them here.
