Quite a nice maiden to end proceedings though the vote has to go to ATHENA after she showed marked improvement when tackling fast going for the first time in a Listed contest at Newbury. She had earlier twice finished behind Samasthiti on very testing ground at Leopardstown and Cork so if the latter handles tonight's conditions she would have her say. City Ballerina will be losing her maiden tag soon judged on her latest run at Cork where, returning from a long break, she was only headed in the closing stages. Tooreen Katie was staying on strongly over 7f at Dundalk in September and is bred for this trip and though Tissiak was well beaten at Gowran she caught the eye with a late run and can leave that form behind. Laajidaal is another likely improver who can get involved in a race that should produce plenty of future winners.
