In depth

Verdict

Johnnys Legacy won in this grade at Fontwell on fast going in the summer but was then tailed off at Sedgefield. The Purchaser was pulled up on his chasing bow and Midnight Charmer suffered the same fate at Uttoxeter last time. But the heavy ground that day wouldn't have suited Emma Baker's charge who has won twice over this course and distance, though never off a mark this high. Mount Vesuvius has shown little over hurdles lately but is lightly-raced over fences. GORING ONE's recent form figures are off-putting but he's plummeted down the handicap and might be too good for these if a visor has the desired effect.
