Verdict

PASAGAI is the one for us as we look to oppose Hello Moscow but it would be no great surprise to see Walamo attract support. Tim Vaughan's runner has shown glimmers of ability in bumpers and in novice company and takes a significant step up in trip for his handicap bow. The Welsh handler has sent out four winners from just seven runners at this track so bookmakers are unlikely to take any chances. Jim Best is another trainer with a good strike rate here and Hello Moscow bids to follow up his famous victory at Plumpton. He received an inspired ride from his jockey on atrocious ground and there has to be a doubt as to whether he will have the resources required for connections to go to the well again so quickly although the visor may help. Pasagai is one that is potentially better than his current mark and also hails from a yard that enjoys some success at this track. He's been absent a long time but won a novice chase off the back of a long absence so there are no concerns on that score. He ran well enough over fences to think that he has some races in him and Pasagai could run a big race on his first attempt over timber on these shores.
