        Verdict

        Nothing leaps off the page in this very modest opener but King's Road, only 3lb higher than when second at Market Rasen on Boxing Day, must have a decent chance. Hopeand drops into a seller for the first time but hasn't shown much since the summer, though was well ahead of Thank You Joy at Worcester in August. UNWANTED GIFT is hardly a confident selection as most of his recent form has been over fences but he seems suited by 2m on a sharp track and this won't take much winning. Monroe Park has won here in the past but that was over 3m and on a fast surface.
