In depth

Verdict

Mistral Reine is something of a course specialist and was taking on stronger opposition when pulled up at Towcester last time. She must have every chance of getting back to winning ways and is preferred to Irish import Campbonnais, who won over 2m4f here in January but has gone backwards since. Belle De Fontenay is essentially a plater and probably better over shorter trips while Storm To Pass is likely to need this. PETERBROWN was pulled up when Mistral Reine was second here on New Year's Day but the ground was atrocious that day. Nick Gifford's charge can reverse that form on this much faster surface and take this having run a better race since at Warwick.
