In depth

Verdict

Harry Collins is taken to gain another course and distance win, with Strong Magic, Scotch Corner and Renvyle also in with a shout. Ability to act on the tight Norfolk circuit counts for a lot when trying to find winners, and so Harry Collins is put forward to go one better than when second on his last visit here in May. Prior to that he was successful in a beginners' chase over track and trip, and was then in the process of running a big race at Cheltenham in April when falling behind the front pair. Given a break during the summer, he has the size and scope to win a few more races now that the ground is starting to ease and should be followed at this level at least. Strong Magic is at the other end of the scale at the age of 13, but can go well off his light weight. Scotch Corner was pulled up at Newton Abbot in May and in truth has not done a lot since going chasing, but he is better handicapped of late and should not be ruled out entirely. Renvyle will be all the better for his return to the fray at Market Rasen recently on what was his first outing for Richard Guest. The trip should help as well, and he can make his presence felt, but like the rest, will struggle to contain Harry Collins who gets a confident vote.
