    Verdict

Midnight Charmer has three of six career wins here but, as the form figures sadly show, seems to have fallen out of love with the game. In distinct contrast, HALO MOON has performed with consistent credit this term and was unluckily brought down here earlier in the month. Lightly-raced for an eight-year-old, this looks an excellent opportunity for him to get off the mark over fences in a race lacking depth. Minella Bliss is respected but does need to put a strangely lethargic run behind him last time and the solid if limited Salut Honore could emerge as the main danger. Irish raider Glenwood For Ever seems to be struggling for form but is worth a market check.
