Verdict

SIR ARTHUR DAYNE left previous form behind when bolting up over 7f on a similar surface at Lingfield. If arriving in the same mood and coping with a drop back in distance, he should defy the penalty. Chromium hasn’t been beaten far at Newbury the last twice and runs in this lower grade for the first time. Mark Usher’s grey looks the danger ahead of the more-exposed Fashion Free, well behind the selection when favourite last week. Bacchalot looks the pick of the Hannon duo but is also looking exposed.
