In depth

Verdict

Kestrel Valley was engaged in the 4.00 at Hereford yesterday. Destin D'ajonc showed nothing on his reappearance having finished tailed off on his final start last season but Caswell Bay has hinted at ability in his three runs to date over fences and stable companion The Boat won at Leicester after a second at Hereford. Pilgrims King has won here over hurdles but is unproven on going this soft. BRULURE NOIRE wasn’t stopping when scoring over 2m here a couple of months ago and makes more appeal than Art Of Illusion at the weights, though any market support for the returning Bobby Bow would be significant given his yard’s current purple patch.
