Verdict

This race won't take much winning and COMRADESHIP is the pick with Royal Etiquette and Harlestone Times worthy of respect. The Dubawi colt does not look out of the ordinary but his Chepstow run reads respectably in relation to others in this contest and granted nominal improvement, he should be up to the task. Royal Etiquette has been short odds on two soft ground starts. The dam is a half-sister to Downhiller so expect to see the step up in trip being in his favour. Harlestone Times does not strike as a particularly sharp juvenile on breeding but the way in which he stayed on at Newmarket suggests that he will be winning soon over this trip. Lovers Causeway is a nicely bred type who is noted in the market. The suspicion is that he is probably going to come into his own next term. Sharrayeen was well touted ahead of a Kempton maiden though failed to deliver. He was far from knocked about and there could be more to come. Loden was easy to back on introduction and ran accordingly. He will make more appeal to us once allotted a handicap mark. Ilston Lord will qualify for a handicap mark. Middle distances will see him at his best. Comradeship is the call.
