In depth

Verdict

NORDIC COMBINED has leading claims on these terms. He came up against subsequent Tolworth Hurdle fourth Rathhill when runner-up in maiden company at Newbury last month and David Pipe’s charge should have the measure of Colonel Custard in this. The latter is penalised for an earlier success in a novices' race at Newton Abbot though still finished second at Bangor last time. Both Milanstorm and Eva's Oskar were well beaten when placing on their respective latest starts but No Rematch is preferred having found only one too good over track and trip on his racecourse debut in November.
