In depth

Verdict

Champagne Champ is something of a course specialist and it would be no surprise to see Rod Millman’s charge go well in this. Staying hurdler Rolling Maul has taken on a new lease of life on the Flat and defends an unbeaten record. Conditions won’t be a problem but he’s up a further 7lb since completing his hat-trick at Newmarket meaning LOOK MY WAY (NAP) is 4lb better off than when a staying-on third in that race. Andrew Balding’s three-year-old has since run well in the ultra-competitive Melrose at York. It will be a surprise if any of the remaining trio are good enough.
