In depth

Verdict

Mr Quicksilver is the form pick here on placed efforts at Sandown and Doncaster but he is proving hard to place and is more exposed than his rivals. Barsanti beat Copious Katie at Lingfield 11 days ago but still found one too good. He doesn't look entirely straightforward while Biff Johnson ran as though something was amiss when only fourth last month at Carlisle. DESDICHADO was too green to make any impression on his debut at Windsor but he wasn't unfancied that day and, being a son of Pivotal, will appreciate recent rain. Ralph Beckett's colt might be the value in this having been taken out of a race at Chelmsford last night.
