Verdict

Secret Era has ability but has been difficult to train and was making only her second start when runner-up to Maqaraat at Haydock in June. Swift Bird is much more exposed but usually thereabouts and was only beaten a short-head in a handicap at Yarmouth last time. Reluctant Heroine, a 150,000gns purchase, could easily be good enough to make a winning debut but VITA LIKA made a solid start to her three-year-old campaign when fourth to Pinch Of Posh at Newmarket and may well have improved enough in the interim to get off the mark here.
