In depth

Verdict

State Benefit, a winner between the flags in Ireland in March, could be interesting when tackling the larger obstacles but is probably worth opposing here on his debut under rules. Viking Visitor has also won a point-to-point and was successful twice in bumpers for Kieran Purcell in the summer. Now with Jonjo O'Neill, the five-year-old should win more races while there are also possibilities about Hereford runner-up Father Probus and Inga Bird, third on his hurdling bow at Fontwell. Iron Chancellor and Rozolenn are others with potential but there should be more to come from ARDKILLY REBEL, who found only the useful Cannington Brook too good on his debut over timber at Ludlow in February.
