Verdict

RARE ART is our call in this sprint with Battle and White Shift respected. Simon Callaghan's charge has obviously taken some time to come to hand for the trainer as he wasn't seen out until later in the year last term. There is an obvious question about the ground but he plugged on well at Nottingham and could be capable of further progression. Battle is on handicap introduction for Hughie Morrison. A 75000 guineas purchase, it would be no surprise to see significant improvement for a winter on his back. White Shift was a fair juvenile on this surface. Regrettably, handicap opportunities were in short supply subsequently and he has had to ply his trade in claimers. Red Rossini won a maiden at Windsor over the minimum trip last term and did drop down the weights after failing to add to that success. Amosite ran his best race to date over six furlongs at Salisbury so could be worth a look in the market. Defector, who is a half-brother to Stubbs Art, was second in a big sales race at Newmarket last season so is very worthy of our respect. Perfect Class has been busy on the all-weather of late so should not want for match fitness. Riflessione was well backed on his last start at Wolverhampton and did not too much wrong on that occasion. Having considered the alternatives, Rare Art looks to have most positives.
