Verdict

A low draw proved to be an advantage at the last meeting here which has to be a concern for supporters of Northern Tour but he still gets the vote. Paul Cole has a strike rate of about one in three over the past two months and this son of Tobougg showed up well enough in the Brocklesby to suggest that he should be up to winning a race of this nature with normal improvement. There are some interesting newcomers in opposition though and the market should help guide to expectations. Richard Hannon saddles Celtic Commitment who is more than likely to know what's required of him this afternoon whilst Sorrel Ridge should relish this ground and the booking of Eddie Ahern takes the eye. It would be folly not to have a second look at Strictly Royal too but we hope that Northern Tour's experience will win the day.
