The form already in the book is ordinary, so it will not be surprising to see this fall to a newcomer. With Bright Enough taking the eye as one worth considering at a fair price. Ballantrae and Never Lose are other debutantes that make appeal on pedigree, while Musical Maze has a couple of runs behind her and can be expected to know plenty about this afternoon's requirements from her. The last named showed improved form last time out but her rider needed to get very serious to get her into contention near the finish. She is obviously of limited ability but can find a race at some point. Clive Brittain has not run many two-year-olds this term but his Never Lose is one to be aware of in the betting. The Diktat filly has seven-furlong winners in her bloodlines, so may be worth a speculative interest if priced up at each-way odds. Ballantrae has a similar profile but represents a yard that has enjoyed a fine spell with their juveniles. The filly's owners have won with 50% of their stock this season, so it could be noteworthy to see how she runs for next time. However, Bright Enough makes a touch more appeal for the present time. Being a half-sister to useful miler Smart Enough, she can be expected to cope with this sort of trip and, as her yard have already sent out some potentially decent types this term, Bright Enough is worth taking a chance with in a race of this nature.
