Thankfully the following handicap looks a lot more competitive and a strong case can be made for most of the runners but we will concentrate on Saviours Spirit, Idle Power, Exmoor and Pinchbeck with Saviours Spirit looking the most likely winner. He was a fast finishing second in a competitive Lingfield-handicap last month and was doing his best work at the finish. The Terry Mills-trained, five-year-old has done all his winning on the all-weather but if he can replicate any of his all-weather form today he has a big chance. He looks a progressive, genuine horse and is interestingly Kevin Darley's only ride at Folkestone. Of the remainder Pinchbeck encountered trouble-in-running when well beaten in a recent Kempton handicap, he had previously won back-to-back handicaps at Southwell earlier this year and is back down to a winning mark. Idle Power won some decent races last season, most notably when winning the Stewards Sprint Stakes at Goodwood last July. That is the best form on display in this race and despite carrying top-weight, he should be right there at the finish. In a competitive handicap a tentative vote goes to Saviours Spirit.
