    Verdict

KAHFRE gets the vote in the opener just ahead of Whipperway. Although Gary Moore's entry carries top weight due to the conditions, the trip looks ideal and at least he completed his round in a much tougher Listed race at Wetherby in which Whipperway was a faller. The selection has raced two other times over the jumps; winning at Plumpton and just losing out at Huntingdon. He is narrowly picked in preference to Sheena West's option who won at Fontwell prior to coming down last time out. It would probably take a pair of rose-tinted spectacles to see beyond these two but Jonjo O'Neill has a knack for getting the winners and Miss Miracle has put in two solid enough runs over the timber to throw her in to contention if the others fail to perform.
