Verdict

Following a promising debut at Hereford, Varkala couldn't justify favouritism at Towcester next time and may need a less testing track to reproduce her best. Miss Milborne has to go on the short-list, however, after a solid effort on her introduction at Warwick and Bathwick Junior only found one too good at Ffos Las last month. Clyffe Top hinted at ability at Newbury and newcomer Well Chilled has a jumping pedigree but Emma Lavelle boasts a 50 per cent strike rate with her bumper horses here and one can expect her QUEEN'S FOREST, a half-sister to winning hurdler/chaser King's Forest, to have learned plenty from her debut at Kempton last April and be more prominent here - she gets the vote.
