Verdict

A good race with most of the field arriving in form; we like the look of DANCE AND DANCE who is preferred to Hand Painted and Reject. Zebrano is capable on his day and everything panned out well for him at Chepstow; he's not handicapped out of this, has run well at the track and has proved versatile with regard to underfoot conditions. Cheap Thrills has a few questions to answer after Newbury but would have claims if recapturing her early season form whilst My Best Bet is likely to find this a little tougher than the race which she won here last time. Hi Shinko is, essentially, opposable although he ran well last time and has achieved both career victories here but more of a threat could be posed by Reject who was asked to contest a stronger race at Ascot last time; he blotted his copybook prior to that but remains of interest at this level. Doc Jones has been running well and probably just needs the breaks whilst Hand Painted should continue to give a good account of himself. The selection has a little more to prove than his rivals as this is his first turf start but his yard is flying high at present and it may be best to overlook a below par run at Southwell as the form of his previous two starts had worked out well enough. He's the scope for further improvement, looks well enough drawn so Dance And Dance gets the vote.
