Verdict

Amoreigh looks capable after a win last time out, and has won here in the past, but it is with VALENTIA ISLAND we side, in what should prove to be a close handicap chase. The selection won last time out, and the lightly raced gelding possesses the qualities to build on that first career win. The eight-year-old is running off a mark 8lbs higher than in his previous race, but this shouldn't hinder progress. Proven distance winner Amoreigh seems to be the biggest threat to the selection. Although more exposed, his form has been inconsistent, but the 12-year-old will be looking to capitalize on his most recent form. Hazeljack is the only course and distance winner running in this race. However that was almost a year ago and he has failed to show since. Connections will be hoping that this return to Fontwell could see the veteran adding to his score. Ten-year-old Sesame Rambler has won here before but he hasn't had a run out since April last year and may well need the run. Pick of the bunch looks to be Valentia Island.
