Verdict

Briac won a Sandown handicap on heavy ground in February but hasn't matched that form subsequently. Dan Gun didn't show much in Ireland but did a bit better on his first start for new connections at Exeter last month. Zante was returning from a very long break when well beaten at Plumpton last month and may need another run. SKY FULL OF STARS was reasonably consistent over hurdles and fences when trained in the north and will have come on for last month's debut for Chris Gordon on this track so gets the vote. Laketour Leader, a winner between the flags, hasn't been showing much over the minimum but may do better over this longer trip. Blue April won over the course and distance from this mark in January and further rain would aid his cause.
