Verdict

ALDERTUNE found only one too good on his reappearance at Worcester last month and can go one better off the same mark here. Newbury winner Rey Nacarado has done all his winning on faster ground though he's been placed in soft while today's going may also prove problematic for Fortification, who made a winning return at Exeter earlier this month and has been raised 15lb for doing so. Giles Cross ran well in higher grade chases last season without winning, but Rapid Increase made a decent reappearance at Carlisle having won over these fences in March and could be thereabouts at the finish.
