COVE stayed on late into second behind Sergeant Mattie at Plumpton on Monday. She was no match for the winner but is heading in the right direction and, as the extra furlong will help, is fancied to open her account if this doesn't come too soon. Bumper winner Shuil Gealach looks the danger as she'll strip fitter for her third at Bangor last month and will also have learned from the experience. Lily Little Legs may have some scope but it's difficult to make much of a case for the others.
