In depth

Verdict

First time blinkers made all the difference to Golden Oak over course and distance last time and Jonjo O'Neill's gelding is taken to defy the 9lb rise for that success and follow up here, getting the verdict ahead of High Tech Made and Superrollercoaster. The last mentioned is probably better than he has shown when pulled up in his last two starts and cannot be discounted with Oliver Sherwood's team in pretty good form right now. Forest Miller has run more consistently of late and has place claims at least, while Ours is less exposed than most but does need to improve to trouble the judge. Nagam ran better last time but has harshly been raised 2lbs since then and of more interest may be Charlie Egerton's less exposed High Tech Made. Golden Oak has solid claims though and he is preferred.
