Verdict

This handicap has attracted a big field, despite the paltry prize money. The ultra-consistent Erdeli heads the weights but was beaten in a seller at Bangor last month. Marju King's best recent form is over further but there are possibilities about recent Worcester winner Quaddick Lake and The Lemonpie, who was second at Market Rasen having got off the mark at Uttoxeter in July. DUKES ART got outpaced over 2m at Southwell last time but still finished ahead of Worcester winner Canadian Diamond and should be suited by this stiffer test of stamina. Though still a maiden, he's starting to look well handicapped and could be the answer to this tricky puzzle.
